The game won't run in Windows 10
I've tried everything but keep getting this error: Failed to initialize the Graphic Hardware Device.(3)
Fortunately, we've written a guide on how to get Resident Evil 1 working on Windows 10
Game Freezes after Barry Kills First Zombie during Cutscene in Windows 95 version.
Game freezes after Barry kills the first zombie. The only thing that keeps going is the ticking sound from the clock.
When you first enter the dining room, try to leave out of the door you just came in, weskar will tell you to investigate if you hear gunfire, try again and barry calls you a coward, then after you have spoke to barry about the blood stain run past the clock and you will get a different cutscene which doesnt hang.

Does the Timer continue to count when the game is paused?
Does the Game Timer continue to increment while the game is paused? I am trying to get the Rocket Launcher by beating the game in under three hours in the Playstation version of the game.
Yes. The game timer will continue to increase during the controller options screen and menu screen. I do not know of any official pause feature. I have tested this on the original Playstation release of Resident Evil Director's Cut. In the middle of a speed run, I paused the game to watch a movie for an hour. Upon returning and beating the game in attempt to unlock the Rocket Launcher, my game time was well over three hours. I had the Controller Options Screen open.
